Rare Johnny Cecotto Edition!

The BMW E30 M3 Johnny Cecotto Edition is an exceptionally rare and desirable model, produced in a limited run of 480 units between April 1989 and December 1990. Celebrating the victories of BMW driver Johnny Cecotto in the Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft, this edition stands out as one of the most sought-after and powerful E30 M3s ever made.

This edition was available with two types of five-speed Getrag 265 manual gearboxes: the "dogleg" for Europe and the classic "H" pattern for North America and Japan. Like true sports cars, it retained rear-wheel drive, and its chassis, based on the E30 3 Series, was significantly reworked by BMW Motorsport for improved performance.

Externally, the car featured M3 Evolution II front and rear spoilers and 16-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels. Under the hood was a 215 hp 2.3-liter S14 engine, enhanced with a reprogrammed Bosch electronic control unit. It was offered in three exclusive colors: Misano Red, Macao Blue, and Nogaro Silver metallic.

The interior sported special anthracite-silver M-Technic cloth seats with Bison leather reinforcements. Options included Nappa Black or Silver leather. Additional features were an illuminated gear knob, an on-board computer, power windows, and a signed center console plaque from Johnny Cecotto himself.

The E30 M3 Johnny Cecotto Edition is not only a rare gem but also a highly drivable classic, blending race-inspired heritage with everyday usability.

Maintenance performed by Squadra Lupo:
-Due to the hot climate in this region, electric fans were incorporated to optimize engine
performance.
-The exhaust system was replaced.
-The clutch slave cylinder was replaced.
-Engine and transmission mounts were replaced.
-4 new Dunlop Direzza ZIII SL tires fitted.
-Rear shock absorbers were replaced.
-All decorative stripes were replaced.
-The seat´s upholstery was damaged by cigarettes. After an intense search, a roll of original cloth was obtained in Germany, which was placed respecting the factory sewing method. This maintains the perfect originality of the car.
